I am a mother, wife, photographer, and professor living in Nashville, Tn. I began taking photography classes in high school and was so taken with it I decided to continue my studies in college.

I received my BFA in Photography from the University of Georgia under the guidance of Mary Ruth Moore, Mark Steinmetz and Stephen Scheer. After school I worked for Sally Mann and Jack Spencer, and shortly after began teaching darkroom classes in Nashville. While teaching, I completed my MFA under Mike Smith at ETSU.

I have been so fortunate to have such wonderful and inspiring teachers along the way, and I think it is the great admiration I have for them that has fueled my own teaching career. I have been teaching photography at Nashville State Community College since 2001.

I try to make pictures in the spaces in between working and being a mother.
